EDUCATION: Katsina Gov’t To Spend N763m on IKCOE, N4b On State’s Tertiary Institutions
Katsina State government says it planed to spend over N763 million on capital projects in this fiscal year on Isa Kaita College Of Education (IKCOE), Dutsin-ma.
The special adviser to the governor on Higher Education Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi stated this at the inauguration of the governing council of the institution.
He also stated that this administration is committed to qualitative education at all level in the state.
The S.A also stated that the state government earmarked N4b for the development of state’s owned tertiary institutions in this fiscal year.
In his remark, the Provost of the college -Dr. Abdullahi Maigari said the college is going to start 8 degree programs soon as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Dr Maigari also stated that the college currently has a staff workforce of 406 and students population of 7527.
