Katsina State Assembly has commence moves to enact a law establishing public complains and anti-corruption commission in the state.
The Majority Leader of the House Hon. Hambali Farouq (Katsina LG) who presented the bill for the second reading said the establishment of the commission is timely inline with the current administration policies on zero-tolerance to corruption.
The speaker of the House -Alhaji Aliyu Sabi’u Muduru has after deliberation on the bill mandated the House C’ttee on anti-corruption to take up the bill and report back to the House in one (1) month.
Similarly, the House has slated Monday Next week for the third (3) reading of a bill seeking for the establishment of State Drugs and Medical Supplies Agency. This followed the unanimous adoption of the report of the House c’ttee on Health presented before the chamber.
The speaker however urge the members of the house to make thorough scrutiny of all the amendments effected in the bill by the c’ttee.
