Gov Masari Inspected The Renovation Of Batagarawa, Ajiwa Science secondary schools

The Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has inspected the rehabilitation and upgrading of two Science boarding Secondary Schools at Batagarawa and Ajiwa.

Governor Masari was received on arrival at Batagarawa by the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Education, Alhaji Sagir Ibrahim, the Executive Secretary of the Science and Technical Education Board Alhaji Lawal T. Bosa and the Principal of the school, Alhaji Umar Lema.

The Governor was taken round the schools to see the ongoing renovation and expansion of Classrooms, Dormitories and Laboratories.

While at Batagarawa, Governor Masari directed that the capacity of the classes designed should be amended to accommodate 30 seaters per class.

He disclosed that the intention of the present administration is to make the Science Schools models to provide the enabling environment for teaching and learning. The Governor directed that burgler proof should be provided all the classes for effective security.

To fully accomodate the students, he was told by the officials of the ministry of education that about ten new hostels are required.

Governor Masari said the Government is considering the option of storey buildings to decongest the dormitories and classes in the school.

While at Ajiwa, Governor Masari directed for the design and cost estimate of an L-shape one story dormitory to be submitted by the Ministry of education for consideration.

Earlier, the two principals, Alhaji Umar Lema and Hajiya Hajara Abdulkadir  requested for the construction of more additional classes, dormitories and laboratories to meet growing number of Students.

They called for the deployment of more teachers, especially in the core subjects in the schools.

The two principals commended the state government for the renovation and expansion works.
