Emergence of President Buhari Brought Hope To The North -Gov Masari

Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari has said that northern Nigeria would have been in misery had former President Goodluck Jonathan won the 2015 presidential election.

Speaking at the 33rd annual symposium in memory of late Malam Aminu Kano held at the Centre for Democratic Research and Training, AKCDRT,  Mambayya House, Kano, Governor Masari described the situation the north found itself as precarious in which the region fall short in every aspect of human development.

Governor Masari was alluding to the monster of insurgency that rendered the lives of the people of northern Nigeria valueless.

He maintained that the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s president brought glimmer of hope to the north and anticipation of the return of socio-economic prosperity.

Masari urged teachers at primary and secondary levels and lecturers of various universities to include leadership training in their curriculum.

 

Meanwhile, the chief host of the occasion, Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje represented by his deputy, Professor Hafiz Abubakar described leadership task as challenging and that hardly could anyone out of the corridor of power understand what obtained in the seat of power.

The deputy governor informed the gathering from personal experience that what obtained in today’s leadership with the fall of crude oil price, made the call for alternative to crude oil to become necessary.

Professor Hafiz called on media proprietor, AVM Mukhtar Muhammad, owner of popular Freedom radio and Hajiya Binta Mukhtar to put a stop to the political programmes in their radio stations which allow chalatans to abuse whoever is in authority.
