Federal University Dutsin-ma (FUDMA) has promised to take stringent measures in hiring staffs to avoid employing people of questionable character.
It would be recalled that a staff of FUDMA, Umar Manu allegedly murdered his wife, Fatima Ibrahim under mysterious circumstances.
The suspect is currently being held by the Katsina state police command even as investigation into the murder has commenced.
Speaking when he led staffs of the Varsity for condolence visit, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Abdu Kaita said the Varsity would adopt stringent measures including intensive background checks on prospective employees.
The Vice Chancellor who was represented by the DVC Academic, Prof. Armayalu Bichi described the murder of Late Fatima Ibrahim Habibu Dutsin-ma as barbaric.
He expressed displeasure of the University Management over murder stressing that University has no link with the murder and would give all the needed support to ensure the law takes its course.
