The federal college of education, Katsina to commence part-time degree programs soon. The Provost of the college -Dr. Aliyu Idris disclosed this during the matriculation ceremony of the college’s students for the 2015/2016 academic session.
Dr. Aliyu Idris who was represented by the college librarian -Alhaji Abidina Abubakar said this will ease the difficulties being experienced by the students as well as uplift the college’s image. He therefore drew the attention of the new students to the oath they have taken warning them that it is bind on them.
He concluded by warning them to avoid examination malpractice and drug abuse.
In his remarks, the Director Consultancy services of the College -Alhaji Kabir Ahamad disclosed that 600 new students were matriculated during the event. Adding that the degree program was introduced by the department of consultancy services of the college in 2011 with only 300 students but currently boost of students population of 2,000.
