The Honorary Special Adviser on International Relations and Investments, Ibrahim ZAKARI as he has always said he doesn’t want talk talk talk but walk the talk. History was made on Friday in Kankia local government when he walked his talk with the handing over of the Kankia metal works by His Excellency, the executive Governor of Katsina state Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari to Ampri Group Limited a leading firm of Indian Investors via (PPP) Public Private Partnership agreement after years of dormancy. The Special Adviser said quote “this was achieved within Two months of opening discussions with my friends (investors) and many more foreign and local Investments will start very soon insha Allah, the target is to get at least one investment in each of the 34 local governments of the state. Kankia is lucky to have 4 investments in one MoU. We want each LG to be able to create jobs for their people. By extension it will reduce redundancy and influx of our youths to the state capital seeking for jobs. My dream is to bring the jobs to the door steps our brothers and sisters instead of them having to go searching for the jobs elsewhere let the jobs come to their door step”. He also said “discussions have reached advanced stage with more Investors to take over Kankara Kaolin plant, Daura Tannery and abattoir, Danja sugar plant, Bio-Fertiliser Plant in Funtua amongst others, without the support and encouragement of our dear Governor this wouldn’t have been possible. The commissioner of commerce and industry deserves a thump up as well as his entire team especially his director of industries Musa Sule”
GThe state Governor Rt.Hon.Aminu Bello Masari and the Honorary Special Adviser International Relations & Investments Ibrahim Zakari with the State Commissioner of Commerce handed over the Management of the Kankia Metal Works to Ampri Group with the Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Executive Governor Rt.Hon Aminu Masari said all the ailing industries in the state will be resuscitated by his administration very soon insha Allah. He also stated that in due cause, the metal works will employ 400 people also providing thousands of indirect jobs to the teaming youth of the state.
In his remarks,the Chairman of Ampri Group that will take over the management of the metal works, Mr. Amir Fure said already the nails production has resumed in the company. The State Commissioner of Commerce in his Opening remarks expressed gratitude to the Son of the Soil Ibrahim Zakari Ibrahim Special Adviser of International Relations & Investments for bringing Investors to the State. He said ” His efforts are worth commendation and appreciation. ”
