Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has appointed Alhaji Garba Mani as the new Head of the Civil Service of the state.
KATSINA POST has carefully compiled 5 ‘things’ we should all know about the new man in charge of the civil service in the state. Enjoy reading..;
(1) An A.B.U. graduate:
A 1982 Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Political Science graduate, the new Head of Service has a Masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MAID), also obtained from the same institution in 2012.
(2) NIPSS alumnus:
He is also an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Jos where he successfully attended the Senior Executive Course 32 in 2010.
(3) He is 57 years old:
Born on 15th October, 1959, Alhaji Garba Sanda Mani began his working career in 1983 in the Old Kaduna State as a Master Grade 11 officer in the office of the Secretary to the State Government and Head of Service.
(4) Has been a Perm Second for 9 years:
He was appointed a Permanent Secretary in 2007, an office he has held until his present elevation to the office of the Head of the Civil Service.
(5) Former Secretary to Kastsina State SSG (1991-1993):
He has performed several ad-hoc assignments, including Special Assistant to the former Secretary to the Katsina State Government 1991-1993, Secretary, Committee on Recovery of Government property from the defunct political organisations in the state 1993-1994, Co-Secretary transition Review Committee, 1999, Ag. Director General, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport 1998 and Secretary Employment Generation Consultative Committee, Katsina State 2000, among others.
