Katsina: Over 3,000 pilgrims airlifted back home


The seventh flight of the Katsina State’s pilgrims with over 500 people on board has arrived the Ummaru Musa Yar’adua International airport safely from Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims who are mainly from Kankia zone and some state’s officials of the Pilgrims welfare board arrived yesterdays’ evening (Monday O3-10-16).

Some of the pilgrims who talked to the press expressed their joy over what they call ‘the government hospitality’ in the holy land. They further said the overall government commitment on their welfare, feeding, accommodation, health services and transport allowances given to them were highly commendable.

They then commend the state pilgrims welfare board and the state government for a job Well done.

With this development, over 3,000 pilgrims has now been airlifted back home.
