Just in: Electricity keeps improving as Katsina gets 74.2MW today (24th October, 2016) – See the distribution chart

Just like in other places, electricity supply has  ‘significantly’ increased in the state of Katsina in recent days and in some places -weeks.

Some residents in the state interviewed by KATSINA POST said that they use o get on average 6 to 9 hours of the electricity daily.

Like many days in recent time, the residents of the state will smile today too as the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) that is responsible for the distribution of electricity to Kano, Katsina and Jigawa announced that it has allocated a whooping 74.2MW of the commodity to Katsina State residents.

KEDCO also stated in the announcement that it has received 227.3MW in total from the national grid and also allocated 146MW and 7.1MW to Kano and Jigawa States respectively.

The formula used in the distribution of the available daily MW is however still a mystery as several request to that effect by KATSINA POST via our twitter handle @katsinapost to KEDCO’s twitter handle @kedcoplc has been ignored.

But for other places like ours (Madugu House and environs ) we don’t have electricity for over three months! And the case was reported to KEdco but no action taken.
