
Why Katsina Pilgrims has less hajj fares- Official
Katsina state Intending Pilgrims for this years Hajj are to pay N1,498,502.70 making it the least in the federation given the new palliatives introduced by the state government that subsidised the fare , the Executive Director of the state pilgrims welfare board Muhammad Abu Rimi said. Speaking at a press conference, Rimi said the board was able to negotiate and secured a decent and affordable accommodation early in addition to charging the lowest administrative charges on pilgrims nationwide.
These amongst other made the state to have the least fare as been announced by respective states of the federation, he added.
‘ The accommodations we got are among the best also compared, they are close to Haram and quality was not compromised, we negotiated early and well’ he said
He called on the state pilgrims to hasten up withing a two weeks bracket and pay up the balance of their deposits to enable them secure their seats.
About 4930 pilgrims are expected to perform this years hajj from the state and majority of those who have deposited are farmers, he added
