Katsina state has emerged winner at the just concluded national Qur’anic recitation competition for non-Arabic Girl’s secondary schools in Sokoto state.
Husna Nuruddeen from Government Day Secondary School Sheme represented Katsina state and became first in 60 hisb category.
The winner won prize of Hajj seat and cash prize of N250 thousand with some prizes which include freezer and copies of holy Qur’an amongst others.
The state commissioner of education Professor Halimatussadiya Idris said the outstanding performance will not be uncommitted with the commitment of Governor Aminu Masari in giving education the highest priority in the state.
The winner will represent the state and the country in the forthcoming international Qur’anic competition.
