Nigeria Customs intercepts smuggled rice, cooking oil worth millions in Katsina

The Nigerian customs service Katsina state command has intercepted eight vehicles loaded with rice and vegetable oil worth millions of naira.

The state comptroller of the command Mr. Olurusemi Kayode made the disclosure to newsmen while displaying the commodities in Katsina.

According to Mr. Kayode, the vehicles were arrested along Kongolon-Jibia axis adding that one suspect was arrested.
He further stated that Government will never tolerate people engaged into illegal businesses.

The comptroller however appealed to all boarder communities to assist customs with useful information to enable them curve the menace unpatriotic citizens.
