Lawmaker to establish Vocational Training College at Majigiri Town in Mashi L.G Area

In an effort to promote vocational training in Katsina state, a vocational training college is to be established at Majigiri town in Mashi local government area.

The initiator of the college who is also a member at the house of the representatives representing Mashi/Dutsi constituency Honorable Mansur Ali Mashi said the college will be affiliated to Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic.

According to the Lawmaker, the decision to establish the college at Majigiri was to give opportunity for the youths in Mashi, Dutsi, Daura, Kaita, Jibia, Mani and other local government areas to acquire vocational skills that will make them self-reliant.

He said “The college when establish will award certificate and diploma on various vocational skills such as computer appreciation, metal work, carpentry, shoe making and mechanical works”

He said the college will improve the loads of constituents, adding that he will personally fund the establishment of the college with his monthly salaries and allowances.
