Katsina: Another set of 126 primary school teachers reinstated after verification

The State State government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari has reinstated 126 primary school teachers whose appointments were put on hold pending the conduct of a verification exercise.

The teachers were employed few weeks to the lapse of the previous administration in 2015.  The reinstated teachers have received their posting letters and have been paid their salaries for the month of August.

In another development, the Matazu Local Government chapter of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has applauded the state governor Aminu Bello Masari for the payment of 3 years’ promotion arrears of primary school teachers in the state.

The branch chairman comrade Kabir Ibrahim Danzuru made the commendation in an interview with newsmen in Katsina.

According to Comrade Danzuru, the gesture will no doubt encourage, motivate the teachers for enhance productivity.

He revealed the plans by the union to open an office where complains of primary school teachers in the area will be entertained.

He commends the state NUT chairman comrade Suwidi Hassan Dayi for his commitments of protecting the union’s interest.

Speaking, the Katsina local government NUT chairman comrade Muntari Isah said “The settlement of the 3 years’ promotion arrears by governor Masari will no doubt boost the morale of the members of the union.”

Comrade Isah also applauded State Primary Education Board (SUBEB) for the effective payment of 3-month salary of the reinstated of staff before data capturing.

He however charged NUT members to reciprocate the gesture by exhibiting commitment to their duties.
