BREAKING: Katsina teachers recruitment to be completed next week

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura has given the assurance that the recruitment of teachers earlier on started would be completed immediately after the Eid- el- kabir celebrations.

The Chairman of the Board made this known to newsmen while he was conducting the State Governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari round the board stores of Tsangaya Model School along Jibia road to inspectinstructional materials for Senior and Junior Primary Schools worth over 660 Million Naira provided by the Katsina State Government.

The Chairman of the board told Governor Masari that the items include communication books, Diary scheme of work and attendance registers, others include lesson plan for primary schools, admission registers, primary schools certificates, continuous assessment registers for senior primary schools as well as those for junior primary schools.

The Executives Chairman told the Governor that all the materials would be shared to the 34 local education authorities across the state. Alhaji Lawal revealed that teachers recently deployed from the local governments have been made to undergo refresher courses. He assured that recruitment of teachers would be completed immediately after the Eid- el- kabir celebrations.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the materials, Governor Aminu Masari stressed the need for emphasis on girl child education in the state. The Governor pointed out that the Conditional Cash Transfer CCT was introduced by the federal government to empower mothers and stop them from sending female children on hawking instead of retaining them in schools. He reiterated the need for parents to compliment government efforts towards educating their children.
