Headmaster from MUSAWA in prison for raping a 4-year old boy in his office

A Primary school headmaster, Sule Yusuf, has been remanded in a Katsina prison custody following an allegation that he had sex with a four year old boy. Katsina: Masari approves N1.9b for the rural electrification project of 34 communities

The Katsina state Executive Council fifth regular meeting presided over by HE Governor Aminu Bello Masari has approved the rural electrification of one community each in the 34 local governments of the state. Katsina proposes death for rapists, mandates parents to fend for almajiri

A draft law to domesticate Child Rights Act in Katsina recommends death sentence or life imprisonment for sexual abusers of children. Patents who subject children to begging or hawking, depriving them of school, will also pay up to N20,000 in fine or get  prison time not less than one month, Daily Trust reports. Katsina: After sleeping for 2 days at airport, 7th flight departs with 510 pilgrims to Saudi

The 7th flight of Katsina state intending pilgrims have departed the Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport with 510 pilgrims on Monday. This brings to 3,546 out of the state 4930 pilgrims expected to be airlifted for this year’s Hajj. The pilgrims who were mostly from Daura, Kankia, Funtua , Kafur and most of those who had earlier missed their flights. They left 8am Monday morning. Katsina: Al-Qalam University Imam preaches against bank loan

The Chief Imam of the Katsina state owned Al-Qalam University, Sheikh Abubakar Maikano, has called on civil servants in Katsina to reject the usury loans secured for them by the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC).
